How do i connect my yahoo email to Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.9?

i downloaded the plug in and i put my yahoo account but it wont connect to yahoo.whats with that?i get these error messages.see i like using mozilla thunderbird. its better than just going on the yahoo website and getting hackers and viruses.so how can i use me yahoo email on mozilla thunderbird?please help me?

You need the Plus account to get Yahoo mail in Thunderbird. If you mean YPops as the plug in I can't help I have had problems with it. There is no difference in getting viruses by receiving your mail on Thunderbird rather than the web site. What I have is a Gmail account that gives you free POP access. I have it along with my ISP account on Thunderbird. In my Yahoo options I have the Gmail account as my primary so I get all official mail from Yahoo there. My Yahoo mail account is just for junk. ✩
