Outlook 2007 deletes emails in my web based hotmail account?

I recently hooked up outlook to my @live.com account. I can see the messages in outlook, but when i open the web based hotmail account by going to hotmail.com all my inbox messages are in my deleted folder. recently all the messages in the deleted folder dissappeared. how can be able to see all my inbox messages in the web based hotmail account as well as outlook 2007? is it an option within outlook? this is a big problem because i am restricted to one computer to view my emails and not any computer with a web browser on it. any help with this would be appreciated!

There should be a setting in Outlook that has 2 options: > Leave original email after popping > Delete original email after popping Yours is set the wrong way. Try this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287532 for procedures on how to do it. Your HELP link in Outlook 2007 should tell you how to change that option.

Unfortunately the default setting in programs like Outlook and Thunderbird is to delete messages after downloading. To change this, click Tools > Account settings > click account name and click Change > More Settings > Advanced tab > check box that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server". Note - you won't get back the ones already deleted before the change.
