Can I use Mozilla Thunderbird with my Yahoo account?

Problem with Mozilla Thunderbird, help? again?

My Mozilla thunderbird asks me to enter a new password for the user account on loalhost, when trying to link it to my yahoo e-mail address. Am I suppose to enter the actual e-mail password I use on my yahoo account? or just make one up? Cu'z I did both, tried my yahoo password & made up some random password, and I got this error message as follows."Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server localhost respond:bad login. YPops was unable to login to Yahoo! mail with the given credentials. How do I fix this problem? what password am I I suppose to use?
Answer:

The password is the regular Yahoo password. Make sure you have used the correct ID. You may need the full email address. Try both ways. I have never had success with YPops. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪
