Why can't I receive my Yahoo mail?

Why cant i send yahoo mail through outlook but only receive?

  • Over the last 2 days i have been unable to send emails through outlook through my yahoo account. i have tried all combinations of Secure or not secure server, ports (587, 25, 465) but dont seem to get a solution...any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nikos

    Hi Nikos, I think I'm having the same problem (I have posted a note in this forum too). I got mine working twice but my outlook has stopped sending again. Here are some email account settings (tab info) that have worked for me on two occasions (but not this third occasion). If you get your send facility going, can you let me know how you did it? Jeremy Outgoing Server Tab Check: 'my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' Check: 'use same settings as my incoming mail server' Advance Tab Incoming server (POP3) port setting: 995 (check SSL box) Outgoing server (SMTP) port setting: 587 (uncheck SSL box)

I have exactly the same problem - and I use Apple Mail 2.1.3. It started intermittently three days ago - now I have to access webmail to send anything. It's a major problem. (I've tried all those ports too, but no luck either). I contacted my ISP - they said it's a yahoo thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
