They want to know if I have pop3,imap or http. or smtp for outgoing mail. This means nothing to me Can somebody explain please

  • Answer:

Go to your mail page click options>mail options>pop & forwarding> Set up or edit pop & forwarding, type in the forwarding address and save. In order to send emails from outlook and others through/to yahoo (pop3) you need to pay for a yahoo mail plus account. http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/pop/pop-14.html http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/pop/pop-03.html * Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk Use SSL, port: 995 * Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smpt.mail.yahoo.co.uk Use SSL, port: 465.

Settings for Yahoo are Type of account pop3 Incoming server pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk Incoming port (pop3) 995, Outgoing server smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk Outgoing port (smtp) 465. Don’t forget to enable POP Forwarding in Options/Mail Options when you are logged into your account on the web under IE or Firefox. Outlook will not be able to work with your account unless you do this.
