Why wont my blackberry bold receive email?

How do I stop receiving a text message on my Blackberry every time I receive an email on my phone?

  • Once I receive an email from Yahoo on my Blackberry I get a text right after that says MobilEmail and then some other stuff. It is eating up my texts so I do I stop this from happening?

  • Answer:

If you are sure you or the people who have access to your account have not created any Yahoo! Mobile Alerts, follow the steps under Requesting cancellation of Yahoo! Mobile Alerts. Otherwise, follow the steps under Noting your alerts. IMPORTANT: You might be receiving mobile messages from more than one source. Yahoo! can only stop alerts that it manages. Only your carrier can prevent all messages from being delivered to your device. We understand that it costs money every time you get a message, especially when your phone is on a pay-as-you go plan. Yahoo! can help with this problem when your phone has inherited Yahoo! Alerts from the previous owner of the phone number. If you receive an email that the problem has been addressed, keep that email. If you are still getting alerts after 24 hours, then make sure to reply to that email and let us know the most recent message you received. Do not give up. Keep replying to our emails until the alerts have stopped. Some of these inherited alerts take time to trace. More step by step guide instruction (It a long list) click this link below
