How could I connect my Yahoo! Mail with Mozilla Thunderbird?

Need help with using Mozilla Thunderbird w/ Yahoo Mail Plus?

I like using Thunderbird to read my e-mail from my Yahoo account. I want to emphasize that I use Yahoo Mail Plus. I am having dificulties understanding the necessary steps to read my Yahoo e-mail using Thunderbird. I followed the link that took me to "How to read Yahoo! Mail Plus using Mozilla Thunderbird. I do not understand Step #5 which reads....On the Server Settings page: Change the Server Name to "pop.mail.yahoo.com" (with or without "plus" at the beginning, depending on your account type) WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THE PHRASE IN THE PARENTHESES. Since my account is Yahoo! Mail Plus, exactly how should I change the Server Name??? The same confusion involves Step #6 and the first bullet point. Much obliged for any assistance you can provide.

These are the server names. Incoming (POP3) plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL; Port 995 NOTE: SSL does not seem to currently work. I am unable to test it. Try with and without the option. Outgoing (SMTP) plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Use TLS; Port 465 NOTE: Outgoing is not needed if you already have another account. ʎəɿʞɹɐq ̊ ͜͡● ̊
