How to forward email to my Yahoo account?

How do you forward yahoo email to gmail without having the Plus account?

I would like to only check one email and would like to have my yahoo account forwarded to gmail. The only way to get yahoo to forward to another email (which isn't yahoo) is to pay the $19.99/year and upgrade to the Yahoo! Plus. I do not want to do this. You can no longer switch back to the 'classic' view on yahoo mail either, since they upgraded to the new yahoo mail. Which I have read the classic view would allow you to forward mail. I also have read if you change your country you live in, that will work also-- this didn't work. Anyone know how to have yahoo mail automatically forwarded to gmail? Please help..
