  I just realized I may have misread your question so I'm adding this. Outlook Web Access is used for working with an Exchange account like you would find in a corporation. It wouldn't be used with a Hotmail account. ********************* Original answer: Outlook uses POP for retrieving email. Hotmail provides POP & SMTP service with their Hotmail Plus program. They charge about $20 a year for that. There is a third party tool called FreePOPs which lets you access your Hotmail account without the $20 charge. You can find it here: http://www.freepops.org/ If you use FreePOPs you will have to set up your Outlook account to use your ISP's SMTP server for sending email. FreePOPs doesn't provide this. /
