How do I enable yahoo communications?

How can i enable Yahoo! Answers email communications.?

  • so im trying to send someone a message or emil but i dont know how to cuz it keeps poping up saying "OopsYou cannot send messages until you enable Yahoo! Answers email communications." so what do i do. also ho do i turn my im on .

  • Answer:

    At the top of any Answers page----mouse over "My Activity"----then click on "Edit my Preferences". Then click the "Privacy and Communication" tab. On that page, scroll down to---"Allow the answers community to contact me"---and click the box by "Via Email" (and also "IM"---if you want). Then scroll down to and click "submit". Now you can both Send and Receive emails from other Answers users-----(as long as they have also enabled it). Click on their avatar and then click on their email link (if they have one) If they don't have an email link next to their avatar---then that means they don't allow email communication from anybody. IF you get any responses---they will come as a notice in your regular mail inbox.
