How to e-mail?

How do I setup my cell phone to receive yahoo mobile notification via text or sms when I receive each email?

  • 2 problems: I have a joint email account (we'll call it Qes), allowing me to use different email addresses within Qes, when receiving email there. (I haven't used this Qes account for years, but it still works.) Then, today, I decided I needed Qes again, so I logged in and everything was fine. BUT, when I tried to set up the filter to cause that joint Qes email account to send a mobile notification to my cell phone, it didn't work. So I tried everything. Consequently, while aggressively trying to get this "Qes" email to send me a mobile notification, one of my OTHER business email addresses (we'll call it ab), which I already had set up with an alert, 2 years ago, LOST ITS ALERT! "AB" is ALSO within that joint account, and is ALSO its own separate account under "ab" (Sorry, hang in with me!) - BUT me, thinking that the reason the Qes wasn't working, was because it had Ab hooked to it. So I deleted it. That's when the notification stopped working on my cell phone. I had thought that maybe the reason this "qes" email account wasn't sending the alert was because I had the "ab" email account and other accounts hooked up to it. So I deleted the "ab" email account from the "qes" email. And that's when my world ended. :P I lost the notification that I WAS receiving on this "ab" email! NOW, in the process of trying to get Qes set up with mobile notification, I noticed in the year since I added another business email account to my phone, the prompts have changed, so my 2009 directions don't work any more. So now, 1) my Ab account doesn't beep on my text every time I get an email anymore! 2) I also still need to set up my Qes account to send me a beep on my text each time I get an email. Can anyone help me? I'm desperate! Thank you in advance!!

  • Answer:

It would have helped if you named your wireless carrier, because they are the ones who can help you the best... Hard to see clear, but if you want your e-mails forwarded it has to be a P2P email server.. Perhaps with all the changes you made you deleted your p2p account, not sure Refer to the instructions in the owners manual what came with your phone...and also find out about your e-mail server's requirements
