Yahoo is good, but it doesn't allow POP3 messages (which are what you need to have your emails immediately sent to a program like Thunderbird, Outlook, etc...). If you really want to have all your messages go to a mail client on your computer (like Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, etc...), I would suggest Gmail. If you're asking about the mail client, I would suggest Mozilla Thunderbird (download from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/). Outlook would come in second place on my list.
