SOCKET ERROR 11001.PORT25. PROTCOL OUT GOING SERVER (SMTP) NO SUCH HOST IS KNOWN? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON & HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM? THANKS!

  • Answer:

In Order to use your yahoo mail through a POP3 server mail program, you have to subscribe to Yahoo. the free version will not allow you to use another program to pull your mail from the server. If you do have a paid yahoo mail account make sure that the Incoming and Outgoing servers (provided you when you set up your paid yahoo account) are set up properly. Also erase and retype your user password, alot of times we mistype these without noticing. Hope that helps!
