Can I use MS Outlook to check my Yahoo mail?

Outlook 2007 will receive mail but not send?

  • I setup MS Outlook 07 to receive my yahoo.att mail. I can receive mail no problem, but it will not let me send. This is the error I get when I use the Test Settings button in outlook... "Send test e-mail message: The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)." ATT, my ISP, says everything is fine because my internet works. In Outlook, under the More Options button i have checked the "outgoing server, SMTP auth" box and under the Advanced tab I have the Incoming server port at 995, SSL is checked and outgoing server is set to 465. Im not sure what else to check, Oh and I AM using "the same settings as my incomming mail server". anyone?!

  • Answer:

Troubleshooting tips If you still can’t send Yahoo! Mail from Outlook, you might be accessing the Internet through an ISP that is blocking the SMTP port. If this is the case, try using port 587 when sending email via Yahoo!'s SMTP server.
