What is my internal email server?

What is POP3 email server?? ?

I got a new computer and have long had Yahoo for email. I pressed an email link and -----a new floating window pops up and asks me 1.Incoming email server type-drop- with down menu 2.Incoming mail server (POP or IMAP) 3.Outgoing email server (SMTP) name. I have no idea how to fill these questions out. No idea what even POP means. Help?
Answer:

Settings for Yahoo are Type of account pop3 Incoming server pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk Incoming port (pop3) 995, Outgoing server smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk Outgoing port (smtp) 465. Don’t forget to enable POP Forwarding in Options/Mail Options when you are logged into your account on the web under IE or Firefox. Outlook will not be able to work with your account unless you do this
