Can I use MS Outlook to check my Yahoo mail?

Is there a way to use MS Outlook 2000 for Yahoo Mail w/out upgrading to Yahoo Plus?

  • I have tried using that free website "ypops" but it doesn't seem to work. I would really like to start using Outlook 2000 to access my yahoo mail. Nothing works! I guess I've been reading that you will need to upgrade to Yahoo Plus! for $20 a month to have access to their POP3 server. Is that true? If so, are there any options around it? Please help...

Nope, they require you to upgrade in order to do that. They make money off of the advertisements you see on yahoomail.

"Crash" is right. You would have to upgrade to Mail Plus in order to have access through Outlook. By the way, the fee is $20 per year, not $20 per month. If you have a friend who already uses Gmail, you could have him/her invite you to be a member user on Gmail. It offers free POP3 access to mails through email clients like Outlook.
