How do I export all my contacts in Yahoo mail into my Outlook?

How can I export all of my Yahoo! Mail and it's folders to MS Office Outlook 2007?

  • I just subscribed to Yahoo! Mail Plus, and would like to know if there's a way for me to export all of my stuff from Yahoo! Mail to my MS Office Outlook 2007. I wish to export EVERYTHING : - E-Mails - Folders - Calendar Events - Contacts How do I do this???

  • Answer:

I did a search and did a Copy & Paste from Yahoo! Help. I also listed the links for you under the Sources section below. With your Mail Plus, you have POP access to get any new mail to the address you choose. I'm not too familiar with POP but if that doesn't get the older e-mails tranferred, you could forward them to yourself. Well I hope this will help. Here are those Yahoo! quotes (I added a couple of headings to make it a little easier). --------------------------------------… EXPORTING CALENDAR --------------------------------------… Go into your calendar tab Go to "Options" on the top-right Click "Import/Export" under the gray "Management" heading. Click the "Export" button under the blue "Export to Outlook" heading. Click "Save" and designate where to save this CSV file. --------------------------------------… To import a CSV file into Outlook, follow these steps: Open Microsoft Outlook. From the File menu, select the "Import and Export" option. Select "Import from another program or file" and click "Next." Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" and click "Next." Find the desired CSV file, select "Do not import duplicate items," and click "Next." Select "Calendar" and click "Next." This will import your chosen file. --------------------------------------… EXPORTING ADDRESS BOOK --------------------------------------… To export your entire Yahoo! Address Book to Microsoft Outlook Express: First, export the information from your Yahoo! Address Book: Open your Yahoo! Address Book and click "Import/Export" in the upper-right corner. In the Export section, click "Export Now" next to the phrase "Microsoft Outlook." A dialog window opens and gives you the option to save your Yahoo! Address Book to disk as a .csv file. Click "Save to Disk". Click "OK". The .csv file will be saved to your desktop. Next, import that file into Outlook Express: Open Microsoft Outlook Express. Select "Import" from the "File" menu. From the "File" menu, select "Other Address Book." Select the file type "Text File (Comma Separated Values)." Click the "Import" button. Enter the location and name of the file you exported from Yahoo! or use the "Browse" button to find the file. Then click the "Next" button. Check the fields you wish to import, and uncheck any fields you do not wish to import to Outlook Express. Or, click "Change Mapping..." to modify where to store the data from Yahoo! Address Book in Outlook Express. Click "Finish" to import the data.

I'm trying to do the same thing, but into an insightbb acct, which isn't working. In your Yahoo mail somewhere there should be an Import/Export link. Follow it and choose Outlook. You may have to then go to MSOO and Import the file you just saved.
