How do i set up windows mail?

How to set up Free Yahoo Mail as an IMAP on Thunderbird? (I don't trust Windows Live Mail...)?

I just opened a Yahoo Free Mail account. The ad said they support POP, but I want IMAP. Wayne L, a month ago, in (*) http://answers.yahoo. com/question/ ?qid=20071216 120518AAEzGNX said it could be done with Windows Live Mail, but I want Thunderbird. I tried what's in (*) http://yahoo.weblogsinc. com/2006/ 06/24/ yahoo-mail-getting- free-imap-access but couldn't get that to work, either. Is it just a matter of a small missed stitch? Or is IMAP just not supported altogether, enticing ads notwithstanding? Detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.
