I have outlook express as my computers main e-mail sending program but it does not have a spell checker?

When i use outlook i use the spell checker on google toolbar then hide the toolbar when I'm finished.

Hello rawlings167, I have a 'Spelling' option in the drop down menu to the right of the 'Spell' link. Unfortunately the spelling facility is greyed out. I checked the 'Help' facility and it says: "To check the spelling in messages Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available. In the New Message window, click Spelling on the toolbar, or on the Tools menu, click Spelling. Note To customize the way your spelling checker works, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then select the Spelling tab." As you can see it appears you need to have Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint installed in order to use it. Why this spellchecker cannot be used without having any of these programs installed is presumably another way Mirosoft is trying to force us to buy their products. If so. shame on them. Poseidon

In the Options in Outlook Express there is a check box to "always check spelling before sending" There should also be a spell check icon on your mail toolbar. (Can't be more accurate because I'm at work where we use Outlook, and my Outlook Express is on my home PC)
