I recently re-configured my computer and i need to know how to get a short cut to yahoo mail icon. thanks?

There are many places you can put a short-cut, so I will address a few. If you want a short-cut in your Internet Explorer toolbar, you can add it to the Links toolbar. Just go to Yahoo mail, left click and drag the picture in front of the address in the address bar down to the Links toolbar until you see a solid black capital I, then let go of the mouse button. This should drop the short-cut in the Links toolbar. If you want a short-cut on your desktop, you can just go to Yahoo Mail in Internet Explorer, Restore Down your IE window to make it small enough to be able to see the desktop behind it, left click the picture in front of the address in the address bar and drag it to the desktop. If you want a short-cut in the Quick Launch toolbar at the bottom, just drag as above from the desktop or IE to the Quick Launch toolbar and drop when you see the bold capital I. Hope that helped!

If you are using Vista or XP and you want a shortcut on your desktop (or any folder) simply right click somewhere on the desktop (or folder) and scroll over "New" and then select "Shortcut". The shortcut wizard should open. Now simply type in the URL (which you can copy and paste from Internet Explorer). Go through the steps, and you'll have a shortcut to any URL you want.

Download the new Yahoo Messenger and there will be an option to have an icon in your system tray. You can get to mail from there. If you have Yahoo Mail in your list of programs <start -- all programs.> right click it and pin it to the start menu.
