How do i retrieve yahoo unread messages via outlook?

Retrieve deleted yahoo mail from Outlook?

  • Yesterday I sent an email through Outlook. I have never made an account. They asked for my current email (yahoo) and password and I gave it to them. After I sent the message it took me to this page. It was an outlook page and all my previous Yahoo messages were being copied onto it. At the time my Yahoo messages were still there, but today when I accessed my yahoo account everything in my inbox was gone! I have some things that I really really need! I can't seem to retrieve my mail that copied onto Outlook back. How can I get it back?

I think you have Yahoo Mail plus account and that is the reason you are using Outlook. not fear my dear, Ysocerus is here! I'll help u if u help me, deal? open your outlook and click "tools>accounts>yahoo>properties" then under the "advanced" tab at the bottom under delivery put a check in the box to "leave a copy of messages on server" and the other boxes that apply. You see the pop3 server actually downloads them to your computer from the server where as with imap servers it's just a mirror of the server (I'm referring to outlook) so unless u send them back to your yahoo by forwarding ea. one (to you) they are not there from the web just on your computer. So check the box to leave a copy 1st before u do anything. Now tell me how you got yahoo to work in outlook. I added the account and the folders show up but they are all empty (not downloading from the server) if you would check the server names and port numbers for me it would be greatly appreciated or just tell me how u did it thanks!
