How get to know incoming and outgoing mail servers?

I need to find out what my ingoing and outgoing mail servers are.Is there a simple way i don't know about?help

  • I know absolutely nothing about computers. There is a membership that i need to cancel online but it requires me to put in the name of the mail servers.I have no clue what to put and no idea where to look to find the names of the servers.I have an e-mail adress with yahoo.Am i suppose to be putting in there servers? I am confused!

  • Answer:

I have to wonder what kind of membership would require that you identify your mail servers!!!! Sounds strange to me. However... If you are using Yahoo Mail, they are pop.mail.yahoo.com (for incoming) smtp.mail.yahoo.com (for outgoing)

http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061201165240AAiPhv4 has answered that if you use yahoo. You have to pay to get a pop3 address to receive email and there will be a smtl address to send email. FROM yahoo to use another email client like Outlook express or another similar to receive yahoo. However if you use a different email account type: ingoing and outgoing mail -------- in the search box OR type ingoing and outgoing mail POP3 for (insert email server type...like yahoo, Modzilla, AT&T, comcast, etc..) and if you search the Internet (best if you searched your email client first) then they will give you the address to use to set up some thing like Outlook. Outlook can also check multiple emails (from what I was told, don't know otherwise I have not used outlook. Since I am not paying for yahoo and i have an ISP client)
