How do I successfully reply to a craigslist personal ad?

I can't seem to respond to a personal ad on the craigslist. I have tried several times.?

  Here's what I found. Good luck.. To reply to a post via email: Most postings have a highlighted email address in the upper left corner that will be formatted in one of two ways: 1. A regular email address (example: [email protected])--replies go directly to the poster. 2. A craigslist email address (example: [email protected])--replies are forwarded to the poster's real email address. * You can either (1) click on that highlighted email address (which should pop open your email application.) * OR, (2) simply cut-and-paste the address into a new message in your email application. * If the post does not contain any contact info, you can notify the poster by clicking the "send note" button at the bottom of the post. Or submit a post in reference to the ad.
