The host 'pop.mail.yahoo.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctl

According to what I have read if you have a free email account with yahoo you cannot get POP number you must subscribe and pay for an account berfore these numbers are made available to you...Bummer!!! I am in the same mess.

Pop3 servers store your mail messages on the server until you log on with your email client (mozilla thunderbird, outlook, outlook express etc.) then, that email client downloads the messages from the internet to your pc. If it is a web based email account, then you need to go to that site, and re-enter your user name and password. For your yahoo email address to work with outlook express, you need to subscribe to yahoo! mail plus, or, there is an email client that will use your yahoo email address, all you have to do is download the program.
