How do I download my Yahoo emails to Outlook 2003?

Outlook 2003, taking a long time to download emails?

  • I have Outlook 2003 on a Dell E6400 running XP. I use IPass to gain access to works VPN. When I connect to Ipass it takes a couple of seconds, to connect. Then open Outlook opens in 2/3 seconds, but then takes 5/10 minutes to download emails. The longest part is,'trying to connect' as soon as connected the emails fly in. Any help to get this working quicker, would be appreicated. Cheers M

  • Answer:

Well it could be your computer, but the biggest problem is just that your using microsoft outlook 2003, It might take a longer because the servers at your work could be running slow or the IPass network could also be slowed down, Your best bet is to restart your computer and see if it works then, if not then just wait for the network to work itself out again

Hello, Is it possible that this is a DNS timeout delay issue? What DNS resolvers are you using when you connect to your VPN, and are all of them, especially the first one in your search order, available after connecting to your VPN? This is a tough question to answer in Yahoo Answers and it may be best supported by your email provider or the support for the VPN connection.
