How do I send an email message with Outlook?

I'd like to ask why i cant send an email message through outlook express?

• after sending message,i received an error message like this.... some errors occurs while processing the task. The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D what will i do to send email message through outlook express?kindly give the procedure to solve this error message i hve received.looking forward from reply and thank u so much?

  do you have the correct settings in your mail with outlook express ? your server should have given you , your email address ,password and the settings on your outlook box are automated open you mailbox ,sometimes you have to have a password to access you mailbox ..........and the correct email they gave you . go into "tools # account / mail :click on mail ............ look to make sure you have POP3 :as outgoing mail SMTP : as incoming mail alot of servers have different settings ? who are you with ? also look in# server #: to make sure the name of your provider is typed correctly ........... such as :aol or whomever you are with . do not know what else to do to help you ? i will come back in case you have put more infos so that i may help you ............ there is part of your message :Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly you must enter the name or the company that provides you with your mail service
