What is wrong with Outlook Express?

What happened to my "outlook express"?

• i had an icon shortcut on my desktop that said "outlook express". it disappeared. i went into the search thingy and outlook is still on my computer, but it it had a whole lot of other folders connected to it. how do i put the outlook express back on my desktop(windows xp). how do i even find it? thanks so much

  Try this. Click start lower left on your desk top, on right column about half way up click set program access and defaults. click custom. Under choose default email program check outlook express click o.k. go back to click start look up left column the outlook express icon should be there you could drag it out to your desk top.
