it can very a little between which outlook you are using (2000,2002, or express)also which Operating Systems you are using (windows or Mac) it is best to go to you yahoo email and then options you should find instructions there, However, I use window and outlook 2000 this was my instructions: go outlook then: Click on the Tools menu. Click on E-mail Accounts. Click on View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next. Select your AT&T Yahoo! email account and click on the Change button. Verify these settings: The Incoming mail server (POP3) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP) fields contain the correct mail server settings. The User Name field contains your full AT&T Yahoo! email address (e.g., [email protected]). The Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box is NOT checked. Click on More Settings... Click on the Outgoing Server tab. Verify these settings: The box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked. The radio button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected. Click the Advanced tab. Verify these settings: Note: When updating the secure sever settings, check SSL checkbox first, then update the port number setting. The Outgoing mail (SMTP) should be port 465 and the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked. The Incoming mail (POP3) should be port 995 and the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked. Click OK. Click Next. Click Finish. hope this helps

First, you should get mail plus. If you want to POP your Yahoo! Mail Plus into Outlook 2002 or 2003, here's how: From the Tools menu, select "Email Accounts." Select the radio button next to "Add a new email account" and click the "Next" button. Select the radio button next to "POP3" and click the "Next" button. Enter the following information: User Information Your Name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages. Email Address: Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "[email protected]"). Server Information Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com Login Information User Name: Enter your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com"). Password: Enter your Yahoo! password. Do not check the box next to "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)." Click the "More Settings" box and select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Click the “Advanced” tab. Under “Incoming Server (POP3)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". The port number in the “Incoming Server (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn’t, make sure the port number is set to 995. Under “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Enter port number “465” in the “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” field. If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, don't check the box. Click the "OK" button. Click the "Next" button on the Email Account Wizard, then click "Finished." If you do not want to pay, there is a free software, called YPOPs. You can download it and configure to use with Outlook or whatever you have. Then the Outlook may be slow or glitchy. http://ypopsemail.com/

You must be a paid subscriber of Yahoo Mail Plus to use email programs like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., to access your Yahoo mail. If you already have Plus, go to this Help link... http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/ Under the heading 'Accessing Yahoo Mail via POP', choose the email program you are using and follow the easy set-up instructions.
