How do I set up my email in Outlook?

How do i set up my outlook to retrieve email from hotmail and send then from outlook?

  • I have outlook and had road runner set up as my default, I am trying to send an email from my outlook, but since switching to century link, I cannot send from my outlook anymore cause I don't have Roadrunner and it is still my default!!! HELP Please!

    You need to change your outgoing email port in your Outlook settings. Some ISP's like to drive us nuts and block port 25. Here is the fix, dont worry this is simple and will take 2 seconds. In your outlook settings, (not sure which version you have) but find your way to your account set up for email. In outlook 2010 go to file, account settings, the click the email tab. You will see your account highlighted in the box or if there are multiple accounts listed, highlight yours. Then above that click Change. then click More Settings, Then Advanced Tab, then you will see the outgoing server ( SMTP ) and I bet it says port 25. Just change that to 587. then click OK on everything to close up the windows and I bet by the time you are done, the emails in your outbox are already gone.
