How do i change my isp and outgoing exchange server?
-
i got my new laptop the other day. i use a broadband connection from verizon wireless to get online access. day one went just fine, then day two it asked me to give my isp and my outgoing exchange server. it gave me an option of pop mail or somethingt like that. i put in the box "yahoo.com" and also "yahoo.com" for the outgoing server. i cant reply to postings on craigslist now, and when i try to, it disconnects me and cant find yahoo.com. it sends my email to some microsoft email and doesnt let me do much there either. i just want yahoo email, nothing for work etc. please help.

you can not use the free yahoo mail with outlook, you will have to upgrade to be able to do that.

free web accounts are not registrable for POP3 mail. you really need to use an upgrade email address which not a free account, or an email address that comes from your ISP itself. since you are using verizon wireless, i highly think you need to contact verizon to activate you online access and use an email address to be registered which is not a free account, if you like yahoo subscribe first the Yahoo Mail Plus (Premium) and use Outlook or Microsoft Outlook to open/get thru your mails from yahoo account. the reason why you are asked about your ISP and outgoing exchange server, it's where you can get connection to the internet and to pay the charges of using the service. that's why free web accounts cannot be registered since it can be deleted at anytime & easily can be entered by someone else, in short, not well protected accounts.
