What are correct Yahoo! Mail server settings for incoming & outgoing mail?
-
Got following settings from internet: Yahoo incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 465); and Yahoo outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.mail.yahoo.com (SSL enabled, port 995). Tried using those settings to configure my Yahoo! Mail account as for account in Windows Live Mail. But when I try sending an e-mail or photo in WLM I get following error msg: "Windows Live Mail Error 0x800CCC0E, smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 465, Socket Error 10060, Unable to send or receive messages for the Windows Live Mail account. The connection to the server failed. Anyone have solution to this problem?

Answer:
Turn the port numbers around: POP3 should be 995 and SMTP - 465, and it should work. *Note: You must have Yahoo! Mail Plus to use this type of service.
