How do I remove Outlook Express from my computer?

  • I always use Yahoo , but if I want to send a scanned item by e-mail , The computer is set up to e-mail by Outlook Express. I have never been able to set up an e-mail on Outlook Express. I have Sky broadband .There is an icon for e-mail by Outlook Express. I would like this removed and Yahoo in its place.

Just go to your control panel select Add/Remove Programmes and then delete the Outlook Express programme - this removes it forever. The alternative is to just reset the programme so that it is not being used. To do this go to Tools in Outlook then Accounts and delete the Mail Accounts listed under the All and Mail tabs. Then go to your desktop and delete the icon. Once this has been done Outlook Express will not work. Good luck

To remove Outlook Express you would go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components and untick it from the list.
