How can I set up an "away message" in Yahoo mail?

I am trying to set up my mail client, WIndows Mail, through Vista for my Yahoo Plus POP but keep error message

Having experienced the same problem on Yahoo!mail, I was advised to upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus in order to use Windows Mail on Vista. Having parted with my money I was still unable to send e-mail, but did from time to time receive them. Having trawled numerous sites to try and fix the problem, without success, I chatted with Yahoo. They now tell me the the 'issue' is wide spread and their engineers are working on it!!!!. ie Yahoo via client based is BROKEN.
