Why can't I send emails using Microsoft Outlook?!!!?

Until a week ago I could send and receive emails using my yahoo account and microsoft outlook. Now I get an error message whenever I try to send an email. It says "sending reported error (0x8800CCC7D) your outgoing smtp server does not support SSL secured connections. If SSL secured connections have worked in the past, contact your server admininstrator or Internet service provider" Does anyone have any idea what I need to do...I haven't got a clue. I have sent an email to Yahoo but they haven't got back to me. Thanks in anticipation. Desperate x

I know outlook hotmail accounts must be paid for,no free hotmail on outlook ,but yahoo are having lots of little glitches on all programs at the moment,you could try---click start>run>type CMD>IPCONFIG>TYPE IPCONFIG /RELEASE---wait till all zero,s show then type-IPCONFIG/RENEW.Your new connection should appear ,then exit out.
