For email does yahoo use a http, pop3 or any?

Since Yahoo is canceling Yahoo Plus, will POP3 or HTTP email now be free?

Answer:

I just got off the phone with Yahoo and they said that if you have Yahoo Mail Plus rather that Yahoo Plus (two different services), you will not be affected by this. As someone else said, the services just will not be bundled any more.

Sorry to say the answer is NO. All they are canceling is Yahoo Plus, which is a bundling of many different yahoo premium services together. You can still get Yahoo Mail Plus, as well as many other different premium services separately.

Well I'm in the UK and I read my yahoo email in outlook and thunderbird on two computers, so if you haven't got free POP3 email then get a UK one, also lycos mail have a free HTTP mail service do a google search for "free pop3 mail accounts" and see what you can get.
