Outlook 2003 Yahoo send mail error?
-
Hi there, My outlook 2003 keeps coming up with this error: Task 'Yahoo - ******* - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 553 From: address not verified; see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/alternate_email/index.html' No my address is verified, and out does actually send and receive mails just fine - but this error comes up every 30 second or so when outlook is open. I have no message in the 'outbox' and I have 2 other yahoo accounts open at the same time in outlook, but neither of them has this error - they all have the same settings. I have done some web searching and think it may be related to delivery reoprts, but I can't see how to cure it. Please can someone help me find out what it causing this. Many thanks!

Answer:
I had the same problem and it took hours to fix for all my family - but what appears to have happened is that the yahoo stmp server has now been made case senative to email addresses. I can't find any notifications though. Anyway this means all you should have to do is change the email address field in your Outlook settings to the correct case matching your yahoo acccount. I found lowercase worked. i.e. [email protected] instead of [email protected]. Worked for me - good luck. Annoying though. Pete Mitchell
