How to receive a message from server?

I receive a "Server Error" Message when trying to open new emails?

  • I have not been able to access my emails for over a week, now. I can see the subject lines of the individual emails that I continue to receive in my Inbox, yet when I click to open them, I recieve a "Server Error" message. This happens regardless of whether I'm using the new beta or the traditional Yahoo Mail. This has occured since the morning of February 13. All the other email in my Inbox and Folders can be opened and read if it is dated from before this time. I am still able to compose and send email successfully. My account is not over it's size limit (I'm only using 17%) I have sent many requests for help to the Yahoo Mail Team. I have received timely responses to all of these, yet the reply is always the same: a claim that the problem has been resolved. But... my account status hasn't changed in the slightest! I really need to access my account, and I really don't want to have to pay for a tech support call to Yahoo.

  • Answer:

One possibility: You may possibly have a corrupt cache file -- it makes all KINDS of things go wonky. Try this: clear your history, temporary files & cookies, reboot and retry. I've recently had people tell me that this fixed their problem, others said not. Another possibility is an incompatible browser; I've seen others mention this as a problem recently. You may need to upgrade your browser, switch to another one, or go back to regular Yahoo Mail (I'm assuming you have beta now!). If none of this works, contact: Yahoo! Clear your Internet Cache / Temporary files and try again. If you are using Internet Exploder, try this link, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260897
