Every time I receive an email I get an email alert message and a beep on my cell phone. This started happening without my ever signing up for this service. The cell phone company says they can't cancel this service because it was never opened on their end in the first place and said I should contact Yahoo about it. How do I get it to stop? This happens 24 hours a day!

Answer:
Go to the Yahoo! alerts page at http://alerts.yahoo.com/ and then click on My Alerts. Click the trash can icon next to the alert you want to cancel.
