Trouble accessing Yahoo mail?
-
On and off for the past few weeks, I have had trouble accessing my Yahoo mail pages. Why not? What is going on?

Answer:
Apparently Yahoo is updating all mail accounts, during the past couple of weeks users had problems with their private accounts, now users with business acounts are complaining. Here is what I suggested for private accounts - it helped in many instances and will hopefully also work in your case: A possible intermediate solution: log in, when it says "URL can't be found" go back to yahoo without logging out. Then click the mail button on top right. Any new messages should drop down. Right click on a message and select "open in new window". In case this doesn't work either: Easy Access: In case your problem isn't resolved right away go to the link below. It is a site which lets you work with some basic mail functions. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail http://de.m.yahoo.com/p/mail Access Alternative: Go to: http://services.mail2web.com/FreeServices/ - this is a free, secure and anonymous web based service which lets you retrieve your mail from almost any POP3 or IMAP4 email server, no registration is required. If problems persist, go to this online help form and describe your problem: http://help.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/mail/cgi_ymail You could also send a mail to e-mail support: [email protected]. Or call Yahoo! Customer Service: 1-408-349

It seems a lot of people are having this problem. Most dont seem to get a response from yahoo. Some suggested a locality problem but the ones Ive seen have been from all over the world. Also I can not open yahoomail on my computer but I can on my husbands which is in the next room. Go figure. LOL I just hope they have it fixed soon. Oh I also tried several links from other places and could not get opened up in anyw ay.

I've been having sporadic issues with "classic" Yahoo mail, but only when using Internet Explorer. Been having problems on all Yahoo sites with IE: seems to be some odd code in an advert image or JavaScript. I'm not one of those who think IE is all evil and Firefox is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but in this instance Firefox does seem to do the trick and not have the same problems. Yet. So you might want to try that. A suspicious person would think that this is a subtle attempt to get people to switch to the new, bloated, slower Yahoo Mail. Perhaps Yahoo will fix the problem if Microsoft comes back with a better offer. <grin/>

Try opening it in a different internet browser or different computer to see if that solves the problem. If not you can e-mail yahoo and they may be able to help. Hope this helps =)
