I cannot open my contact list in my mailbox.

Why can`t i compose, reply, or open my contact list since upgrading?

  • Have been prompted to upgrade browser which i did. But get same box advising me to upgrade. I did it again but box doesn`t acknowledge i upgraded and says continue anyway which i do. Compose, reply and contact list don`t work. I can open and read email but can`t send any. dave

    You are not alone. Many users are reporting the same experience. It is not your computer or browser. Notify help.yahoo.com so they have a record. That "browser upgrade" message is false. Keeps appearing for no reason. A few users got their compose and reply back by switching to Classic Mail but Yahoo switched them right back. (you have to trick them into letting you switch back). Yahoo is working on it today. You have to wait.

IT WOULD BE BEST TO GO BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUS VERSION OF YAHOO! MAIL... To go back to YAHOO! MAIL CLASSIC... Turn off Javascript - you'll then be asked if you want to return to Mail Classic, click "yes". If you don't know how to turn off Javascript... For SAFARI: Open SETTINGS>click PREFERENCES>>click SECURITY>>Uncheck ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT IMPORTANT:Remember to RE-ENABLE JAVA and JAVASCRIPT back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won't work. For IE: Open TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS >> SECURITY. In security click "CUSTOM LEVEL" -> disable active scripting in the scripting section. IMPORTANT:Remember to turn JAVASCRIPT back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won't work. For FIREFOX: Open TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> CONTENT, click on "DISABLE JAVASCRIPT". Now hit F5 to refresh the page while you are in Yahoo! email in order to switch back... In the options, click (PERMANENT) to switch back to YAHOO! Classic. DO NOT click the "ONE TIME ONLY" option. IMPORTANT: Turn JAVASCRIPT back ON once you have your "CLASSIC" account back.
