Why cant i e-mail somebody its keep on saying You cannot send messages until you enable Yahoo! Answers email?

I want to e-mail somebody that has good answers in a category and it say on his profile that you can e-mail him but every time i click it it say opppps You cannot send messages until you enable Yahoo! Answers email communications can u give me all the steps to enable it so a can e-mail him thanks.

Go to your profile by clicking your avatar or <my activity> at the top of this page, click "edit my preferences", scroll down to "privacy", mark "allow Answers users to contact me via email (Address not publicly displayed)", click "preview" at the bottom and then "okay".
