Does anyone have suggests regarding post via royal mail?

Hi, does anyone know of any options on how to get my post so that I collect it from the main post office. I am expecting a lot of private mail over the next year, and do not want it to go elsewhere to wrong address again. Looked at Royal mail site but they want a small fortune to re-direct post or keep it there on site for me to pick up. I have complained many times to royal mail on wrongly delivered post but still not right just get a book of second class stamps sent in the post as apology from them. If anyone can help would be appreciated. Thanks

RM Postie here. My office does a "call and collect" service which as far as I know is free. Pop into the delivery offices "Callers Office" with 2 types of ID (Driving Licence ideal) and 2 Service Bills (gas, electric etc) with a matching address.
