Why does my name appear on outgoing messages when I have an alias set?
-
My real name is absolutely nowhere to be found on my profile or any of my settings but everytime I send a message, my real name appears. Why is this happening and how do I change this?
-
Answer:
Changing your profile won't change your "from line setting"----you'll have to do that yourself. Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options>>and the "general" page opens. Near the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---a nickname or an alias or whatever suits you-----then click "save" changes at the top of page. Just in case you're using the "New Mail". Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences----and change it and save it.
