How Do I Export Yahoo mail contacts to Thunderbird?

Why won't my Yahoo Mail let me export my contacts?

I have a Mac laptop and I'm switching to a Gmail account instead of Yahoo. I want to export my contacts so that I can import them into Gmail, but when I try to export them, it says "Click here if export does not start within 5 seconds" or something similar. When I click the link, NOTHING happens. I'm so frustrated. I wanted to switch back to the old Yahoo mail to try it from there, but Yahoo has deleted this option.

Yahoo is working on this. There are a lot of problems with Contacts in the new mail. You can export them if you to Classic Mail. Several tricks have been posted on how to do that. See if you can lower the resolution on your screen until you are asked if you want to go to Classic. Or "right click" on an open email and choose "Open in a new tab". If you are lucky you will see a link to go to Classic (doesn't always work).
