Why cannot I send text from Yahoo anymore?

Why can I not send an email from Yahoo in " Plain ASCII Text "? ( not html text format)?

  • In order to register a Domain Name with Uniforum, the South African co.za namespace Registrar, you have to do it in Plain Text format ... which is ASCII Plain Text ... and not in HTML text format. My question is how to send an email from my Yahoo.com email account - in Plain ASCII Text Format. If t5his cannot be done ... then Yahoo.com is useless in the sense that one cannot register South Africa Domain Names ( .co.za) Any solutions? Jean Hughes

  • Answer:

You have to disable the HTML feature. After clicking on Compose or Forward----look for and click the link that says "Plain Text" (usually at the end of the subject line). That disables "Rich Text" and enables "Plain Text". If you don't find that link---try this. Mail page >>options>>mail options>>and the on the "general" page, scroll down to and UN-check the button that says--"compose using color and graphics"--Then click "save changes" top of page.
