Mail Product Management My question is how the heck was my email account found by these people if they are not in fact from yahoo, when this email account has never even been used. How do they even know my name used on the account? I am able to view the urls of the links sent in the email (without clicking them), and they are in fact all legitimate yahoo addresses, this is what is confusing me. My other yahoo email accounts do not get this at all. What should I do?

  • Answer:

It is all true and it is from Yahoo. There is nothing in it that would indicate any type of scam. It does not even contain any links. ₪ ʎəɿʞɹɐq ₪

I received the same email and had the same question. I couldn't find anything on Yahoo announcing the upgrade but the link to upgrade does point to a Yahoo site page so it appears to be completely legit and there is no risk of upgrading other than bugs in the first release. I upgraded just now....so far so good. The new look is nice and clean.

Yes, it is real. I have been looking everywhere to see if this was real or not. If the email has a Y! icon to the left of the "from" field in your inbox then it is legitimate. They mark all of their messages with this icon so you know it is real. You can find this information at: http://ymailupdates.com/blog Hope this helps you, it helped me. Also, sometimes when you first log in to your email there is a link that says upgrade now or something if it is there anymore.
