Why is my Yahoo mail in Spanish? And my yahoo home page?

Why is there MAIL in my 'in box,' but my Yahoo home page does not indicate that I have any mail?

  • Whenever I look at my Homepage to see if I have mail, it indicates that I have none. However, when I go to the inbox, I have several. It is Yahoo. Thanks for any suggestions as to how to make it right :)

    Make sure you have new mail alerts checked on the messanger, most likely you do. This happened to me and many others while Yahoo was upgrading the classic mail, It also would show a high count for new mail I didn't have. It lasted about a week and then fixed itself. My alerts returned and the numbers cleared. Go to and click Messenger, scroll to and click Preferences, on the side menu click Alerts & Sounds. Then make sure all your boxes are checked to receive alerts. If not, then check them and click Apply and Ok. It's a Yahoo glitch.

Check to see if there is new mail in any other folders that you have created. If not, then try shutting down your browser and relaunching it. If that doesn't work, try logging out of Yahoo Mail and then logging back in.

Okay so maybe it is old mail and it will tel you if your mail is new because the little evelope on the toolbar will open up

one other bizarre thought, does some one else know your password? Or even by chance, I would change your password and see if this repairs your trouble. If you or any one else reads the mail, it shall show as 'no new messages', yet your mail shall be in the inbox. :(
