why do i get this message when I try too login in yahoo mail. I'm already using IE 9. The newest version of Yahoo! Mail works best on modern browsers. While you can still access basic email functionality like reading and sending email, to access other features like Yahoo! Messenger, photo slideshows and the reply bar, you'll need to upgrade your browser.

Maybe this can help you, I use Internet Explorer and could not find a solution to switch back to Classic Mail permanently after 2 days of pulling my hair out lots of problems! I have not found links work permanently, I went to CONTACT YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE, then clicked on LIVE CHAT, told them my old computer can not handle it, and they switched me back 5 to10 min. total, no problem, and they do not prompt me to switch anymore! You can also call Yahoo USA, but you will wait forever! 1-866-562-7219. Don’t forget to vote for best answer. Anyway Good Luck!

Your situation is same with mine. The solution of mine is that I use an IE based browser ,Avant browser, I have updated my IE to IE9 but I didn't change the rendering mode of my Avant browser(You can use three rendering engines in this browser) After I changed the rendering mode to IE9, the update information gone.
