Have I been suspended or is my Yahoo! account just not working?

How do we prevent our engineering firm's Yahoo email account from being suspended?

  • This has happened more than once. We get an "Unusual Activity" message at the top of the My Yahoo page, and our email account is suspended for a few hours or a couple of days, after which it just starts working again. Most of our business activities are conducted using two separate email accounts. The most utilized and most important account is the one that is getting suspended. We transmit and receive substantial volumes of information with our customers daily through this account. Who can we talk to about this? We can find no direct communication link to Yahoo email.

    What kind of reputable "engineering firm" uses a free email system for their "substantial volumes" of business-critical communication? That's ridiculous! If your company can't afford to pay $100/year for a proper web-hosting service with a private email server then I'm not sure what sort of company you are running. Surely your firm has an IT department, and if so, they need to propose a more suitable business environment.
