What does the error 999 mean on yahoo?

What does this mean? The error, LaunchHttpError-999, occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail.?

  • I received this message seven consecutive times this morning. What does it mean? What can I do about it so I can access my regular Yahoo! email? I was redirected to Yahoo! Classic email. It works for outgoing email, but I cannot find some of my "sent" and other email there. Thanks.

  • Answer:

I am also getting the same message, and was re-directed to yahoo classic mail, which does not allow mail messenger or instant messenger through email, I have tried logging off, updating adobe and all other updated that were available to me (not very savvy with the puter-so just tried to update all options) and even archived old files, still a no go though hope someone can help with this problem, thanks and hope the solution is right around the corner.

bumping this up. :) I am having the same problem. If I hadn't had Yahoo for so many years I would go somewhere else. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Yep, me too. It's a Yahoo issue, not a computer specific one, so updating software/drivers, etc won't help. I'm on a Mac and its doing the same thing. I hope they're working on it.

I found this same error LaunchHttpError-999 happening consistently since this AM also, after having done a Windows update of 10 things. I bet it has something to do with it! I have Vista Home Premium as my OS.
